Ironbark Sustainability is hosting a webinar to bring Australian councils up to date with the latest developments in the Snapshot tool. News includes how Snapshot was highlighted on the ABC’s Fight for Planet A through BZE’s Zero Carbon Communities program. The second webinar will see UNSW’s Laura Bruce reflect upon the journey from climate change vulnerability assessments to the implementation of climate resilience actions from Honiara, Solomon Islands with Bernhard Barth, Serene Ho and Alexei Trundle.

The Municipalities in Transition (MiT) project team developed a systemic methodology to provide local communities an experiential and community-led way to develop future-oriented ecological and social solutions. Successfully tested in 6 pilots worldwide and now spreading in new pioneer communities, the MiT team aims to trigger deep and permanent cultural change where the best result is to see the system becoming completely integrated in the local environment without the need of an external support.

The webinar aims to highlight climate neutrality leadership and action experiences from political and technical representatives of ICLEI members in Europe, Japan, Korea and Australia. Webinar outcomes will be presented as inputs to Daring Cities 2020 – the Global Virtual Forum on Urban Leaders Taking on Climate Emergency on 7-28 October as well as Race-To-Zero November Dialogues.
